This Privacy Policy explains how information about you is collected, used, and shared by Realist (hereafter "Realist," "our," "we," or "us"). This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you use our website, mobile applications, when you interact with us, and when you use other online services (collectively, the "Realist Service").
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of this Privacy Policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with more prominent notice (such as adding a statement to our homepage or sending you an email notification). We encourage you to review the Privacy Policy whenever you access the Realist Service to stay informed about our information practices and the ways you can help protect your privacy.

Realist collects information that you provide directly to us when you sign up and use the Realist service including: Information when you register or update the details of your account, participate in identification badge programs such as TruYou, post items for sale, enroll in third-party payment processing services offered in connection with the Realist Service, communicate with other users, provide reviews or other comments, purchase services from Realist, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us.

Realist may, from time to time, obtain the above-listed information from other sources and combine that with information we collect through the Realist Service in order to enhance our ability to serve you, prevent fraudulent transactions, tailor our content to you, deliver relevant advertising to you, offer you opportunities to purchase products or services that we believe may be of interest to you, and for any other purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
For example, if you create or log into your account through a social media site, we will have access to certain information from that site, such as your name, account information and friends lists, in accordance with the authorization procedures determined by such social media site. We may also receive transaction information from Stripe Inc. when you verify your identity using the Stripe Identity solution, including the date and time of verification.
Realist is integrated with Stripe, Inc.'s ("Stripe") services to allow buyers and sellers to verify their identity before they may list an item for sale or contact a seller about an item on the Realist Service. Stripe provides these services directly to buyers and sellers pursuant to its own terms and privacy policy. When signing up verify your identity, Stripe, and not Realist, collects the information provided by sellers via the Realist Service, including government IDs. Realist is based in the United States and the information we collect is governed by U.S. law. By accessing or using the Realist Service or otherwise providing information to us, you consent to the processing and transfer of information in and to the U.S. and other countries, where you may not have the same rights and protections as you do under local law.
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
Realist takes reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Realist protects your privacy by limiting the amount of personally identifiable data we share with third parties. In most cases, we share data that is aggregated or anonymized. When we do need to share identifiable data with third parties, we take steps to ensure that they provide the same level of protection to your data as Realist provides under this Privacy Policy.
You may update, correct, or remove account profile information at any time by logging into your account. You can deactivate your account by following this link. We will make your account inactive until the time you decide you would like to return to using the Realist Services. To reactivate your account, you can sign in using the same username and password.
If you are on a mobile device and would like to delete your account, you can request deletion from your Account Settings menu. From your logged-in mobile device, click Account > Settings and scroll to "Account deletion" and follow the prompts.

Please note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. We will also retain certain information such as reviews, forum postings, and similar materials posted by you may continue to be publicly available (but not associated with your personal information) on the Realist Service after your Realist account is canceled.
When you first download our mobile app or the first time you attempt to use any features that use location information, you will be asked to consent to our collection of this information. You may revoke your consent to our tracking location information at any time by changing your preferences in the settings menu on your mobile device or by following the standard uninstall process to remove our mobile application from your device.
Even if you do not consent to collect the precise location from your mobile device, we may use your IP address to infer an approximation of your location when using certain features of the Realist Services, such as the Realist payments solution.
In some features, Realist uses mapping services from Google Maps/Google Earth, including Google Maps API(s). Your use of these services is subject to Google's terms of service.
Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies. Please note that removing or rejecting certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Realist Service.
These disclosures are applicable to residents of the states listed below. Please refer to Section I through Section III above for the categories of information we collect, the purpose for such collection, and when we share information. We retain the information we collect so long as you have an account with Realist, and in some cases a longer period of time so long as such information is the subject of trust and safety matters, to comply with valid legal requests, or applicable law.

CCPA requires that we provide transparency about personal information we share and sell. If you have not opted out, we allow Google's online advertising service to collect identifiers (such as cookies and other device identifiers) and internet or other electronic network information (such as the webpage you visited) through the Realist Service for the purpose of sending personalized ads to you.
